Tables

Each table is started with a section of a trunk of a tree. The trunk section can weigh up to almost 700 pounds and have a span of 42 inches. The trunk is placed on the lathe with a forklift. The lathe spins the trunk at a very high and dangerous speed while it is being carved into the shape desired. The wood piece is then set aside for five to six years for a thorough drying. It is then hand sanded and about six coats of tung oil are applied each coat taking a day to dry.
