Wall Hangings

Each piece is formed on a lathe. The conceptual designs are intuitive and formed as the piece is being created. Most of the wood used is found, not purchased. Maple, mesquite, camphor, ash, cocobolo, ebony and burl-wood are among the many woods that are used. Embellishings are either subtracted or added on the vessel. Additions include foils, papers, modeling paste, heated tyvex, acrylics, dyes, inks, powdered pigments and metallics.
